Share Your Story, You Might Just Change Someone Else's Life
Hello there, my name is Kenny, and my journey began in the small ass town of Shellsburg, lowa.
Shellsburg had a population of 750 people when I was growing up and my mom knew if I had gotten into trouble before I even opened the front door. When you grow up in a town that small, everybody knew everyone, and everything!
Little did I know growing up that I would have the opportunity to travel to 45 states, visit the majority of the largest cities in the United States, and be able to work at some of the largest healthcare facilities across the country. I have also been fortunate enough to be able to travel to six countries which has helped shape my world views tremendously.
After working in the healthcare industry for 25 years, I have picked up an amazing ability to comfort those even during their hardest and darkest of times. As a radiologic technologist for the first 5 years, and then as an MRI technologist for the last 20 years, I have been able to work at some of the largest oncology, pediatric, and trauma facilities in the country and I can assure you of a few things.
A positive attitude goes a very, very long way in whatever you are trying to accomplish in life. The less you respond to negativity, the more peaceful your life becomes.
A smile can change lives, try to smile more and see how much your own perspective will change when you spread positivity around you. Your outer world is a reflection of your internal world, change the internal world and watch your external world transform.
I have seen regret in the eyes of people many times, but the biggest regret of all is not taking a chance on yourself when you know it's something that your heart truly wants.
The majority of people never truly jump and live the life that they know they should be living. Jumping is scary, but on the other side of fear is a happiness that you can only attain once you have gone through the darkness.
I have had many challenging and difficult times during my life, but I have been able to rise above each struggle and emerge stronger than I was before, all because I carry myself with a positivity and passion for life that reflects my internal world onto my outer world.
Finding inner peace and acceptance not only changes your life, it changes everyones life around you as well.
Here at Mentensity, I am creating a space that I wish had existed when I was transforming into the man that I am today.
I have had the privilege of meeting hundreds of thousands of people during my lifetime through work and travel and I know that we are all part of a larger collective.
Now more than ever, by sharing our knowledge for the greater good, we can all make a difference in this world one ripple at a time.
